Hey, I'm Chelsea.

I'm a Chicago wedding photographer and videographer who's on a mission to take the stress out of wedding planning, one anecdote, gif, and movie
quote at a time.

For their wedding, Alicia and Pawel wanted to showcase their love of NYC, a city where they met, fell in love, and now live. Pawel grew up in Brooklyn, but Alicia is from a teeny tiny town in Iowa. (Midwest Represent!)

The two met randomly at work, where she was a Pathology Assistant and awel was a software developer, and they clicked right away! Fast forward a few years, and the two have intertwined their lives in the city that they love.

We started their day at the couple’s apartment, which was the perfect location since it was across the street from the church where their ceremony was.

Once Alicia slipped into her dress (and all of her family and friends fought back happy tears), we walked down 5th Ave to Central Park’s Conservatory Garden for their first look. The two love spending afternoons in Central Park, so it was an easy choice for them to do their first look there. Along the way, we even ran into their priest, who would marry them in a few hours!

After their ceremony, we got to explore some of the most iconic spots in NYC.

We started with photos at Central Park after the ceremony. Grand Central is right across the Yale Club, so we popped in for a few photos before crossing the street for cocktail hour. The contrast of the hustle and bustle of travelers, while the couple just enjoyed each other’s company, was pretty perfect. My passion isn’t just in telling your story, but in these in-between moments that really showcase the connection you two have. Just seeing these two holding hands and soaking it all in was one of my favorite parts of their day.

An Evening at The Yale Club

Cocktail hour took place on the 22nd floor of the Yale Club of NYC, overlooking the city at twilight. The couple fell in love with the Great Gatsby feel of the Yale Club, especially the hand-carved plaster ceiling of the Main Lounge. They wanted the wedding to be filled with old blues, jazz, and meaningful traditions. One of those was having a traditional Polish entrance into their cocktail hour, where both sets of parents gave the couple salt and bread for them to eat.

Once everyone headed down to the Main Lounge for dinner and dancing, the dance floor was packed for an ‘east coast’ style reception (As Miranda Priestly would say: an east coast style reception on the east coast? Groundbreaking.)

Alicia and Pawel are genuinely a couple meant to be together. While it might sound cliche, these two balance each other out, and you can tell how much they love each other throughout their wedding day.

This day was extra special since it wasn’t just an epic wedding, but it was on my 1st year anniversary of taking White Quill Creative full time! It was the best way to celebrate my business and what I love to do.

As you start to plan your wedding, reach out to get on my calendar! I love to film and photograph all weddings, from NYC to Chicago (and everywhere in between!).

Kind Words from the Couple

“OH EM GEE. Thank you for all the videos, and thank you SO MUCH for sharing your talent with us. We are in awe. The highlight film is absolutely amazing. You put it together so beautifully and included all the perfect moments. And the song you chose for it is so perfect, too! We just love everything and will cherish all the videos and clips forever. I can’t even begin to tell you how much our families love them! I think my dad alone has watched the highlight film at least a million times. Thank you again for being a part of our day. We will be forever grateful for you and your work that will allow us to relive such a special day in our lives.”
