Playing Tourist in Chicago

It took 2 months and 2 days, but I finally did it. I finally crossed off all the quintessnetial Chicago tourist attractions off my "been there" list. I also was forced to use a selfie stick in front of the bean, but we won't dwell on that.

I also got to meet Lotti, a photography loving foreign exchange student from Germany who is spending the week with my parents. As Lotti, my mom and I trekked to all the main sights (burning off all the calories from our Wilderry's brunch), it was refreshing to stop and see the city through her eyes. She would stop, take a million pictures and exclaim "You're so lucky that you get to see this every day!"

I looked up at the skyline and realized she was right. Every once in a while I would find myself thinking how happy I am here, but I don't stop and appreciate the urban beauty of the city enough. So I pulled out my camera and started taking a million pictures too.

I think it's safe to say I'm going to make a regular habit out of documenting my days in the city (as I should have from Day 1).
